On Labor Day (Monday, 9/2/13), the town of Bodega will host the 50th Anniversary Festival of Hitchcock’s movie “The Birds.” St. Teresa Church is on the tourist list to view, from 10am to 4pm. We need volunteers to greet the tourists, protect the church interior, and sell St. Teresa gift items. Five volunteers are needed for each of these shifts: 10am-12noon, 12noon-2pm, and 2pm-4pm.
If you would like to help out, please contact Elaine at 707-756-0001 or email her at email@example.com.
A Mass of Thanksgiving to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the St. Philip/St. Teresa Rural Food Program will be held on Thursday, August 15, the Feast of the Assumption, at 5:15 pm, at St. Philip Church.
Parishioners are encouraged to attend and join with volunteers, Catholic Charities guests, major donors of the program, and former pastors to give thanks for this tradition of service to our brothers and sisters in need.
A complimentary catered reception will be held in the Parish Hall following the Mass.
Please RSVP by August 11 through the parish office (874-3812 or firstname.lastname@example.org) if you will be able to attend this Mass and reception.
The Department of Youth Ministry is preparing for our summer camp programs to be held this July at Camp Cazedero. This beautiful site (http://uccr.org/camp/camp-cazadero) will play host to both or our Diocesan camps for youth in grades 6th-9th grades. Feel free to distribute or use the attached flyer (click here) and video link to promote participation in this year of our diocesan summer camps.
The camps are inspired by our successful Camp RAD program which has been part of the Department of Youth Ministry’s summer programming since 1994. These 3 and 5 day experiences are fun-filled opportunities for learning about faith and its place in the lives of youth. Through games, music, experiential activities, drama, art, prayer, recreation and sacraments, each camp provides a balance of programming that addresses the developmental needs of each camper. Coupled with the experienced leadership of adult leaders in youth ministry supported by college and high school age facilitators, each camp will be alive with positive energy and spirit.
