She will be in the office 9 to 12, Mondays – Fridays. Dear St. Patrick Dinner Attendees, Supporters and Contributors,
St. Philip and St. Teresa proudly extended it’s celebratory tradition of Ireland’s patron saint, St. Patrick. The success of the event was inevitable and fun was had by all as the church had a veteran line up of volunteers from setup and cleanup to the long day of cooking and serving and the children that delivered raffle prizes are were active helpers on the dish line. The raffle was lively and thanks goes out to all those that generously donated gifts and those that purchased tickets. (Thanks Alma for selling.) No surprise, but the team at the bar was busy and actively contributed to the festivities. The sense of community was especially warm as so many pitched in from serving the food, cleaning tables and stacking chairs. Father Allen’s brief cameo was nice in his green sweater and Irish coffee. You made the night a memorable event. Thank you to all those that contributed to the evening's activities. Don’t forget the luck of the Irish continues with our upcoming Casino night on April 20, 2013. Enjoy the games of chance and continue to enjoy the fellowship of our parish. Erin go braugh! The Coordinator Team for Rural Food Program will be meeting in April to discuss the results of the client survey. There were 86 surveys completed—80 indicated a rank of “excellent” in response to the question “How helpful and respectful are the volunteers?” One client wrote: “(The volunteers) make me feel OK about needing help. A room full of smiling, happy people helping without judgment. You guys are the greatest. Thank you and God bless you.” Please continue to collect grocery bags with handles, plastic shopping bags for produce and egg cartons. We are looking into biodegradable produce bags and recycleable grocery bags for our clients.
