UPDATE: Due to summer heat, times for the outdoor Sunday Masses will be changed starting 7/19/20: For St. Philip’s, to 8:00 a.m., in the parking lot fronting the church; and for St. Teresa’s, to 9:30 a.m. at Bodega Calvary Cemetery.
It is important to remember that the bishop has extended the dispensation decree for attendance at Mass for those who are at high risk for infection or are fearful of catching or spreading the virus. Notwithstanding the measures taken to provide a safe environment, parishioners and visitors must understand that they attend mass at their own risk. The following procedures, consistent with CDC, Sonoma County Health Department, and Diocesan guidelines, will be in place:
Please consider joining your Parish community in resuming services for our congregation. Should you have any questions, please contact the Parish Office. Dear Parishioners,
The Parish Council is developing plans to safely re-open our churches, in compliance with Sonoma County Health Department and Santa Rosa Diocese guidelines, and we need your input to finalize our efforts. First, we will need to limit attendance to 25% building capacity, or about 30 members at each service. It is important to assess how many parishioners would be returning to masses at this time, since many of our members are in the "at risk" group. Some estimate will help us to plan a Mass schedule. Second, volunteers will be needed to assist by screening attendees, monitoring social distancing, and disinfecting the church after each service. To meet these needs training and supplies will be provided. Two to three volunteers will be needed for each Mass. For our re-opening plans to proceed, it is important that you respond at your earliest convenience, preferably by Monday, June 15. Please respond to the survey by clicking the button below or you can email your responses to the Parish Office (philip.teresa@yahoo.com) or leave a messsage for the Office at (707)-408-2650. Thank you for your assistance in this important project. Parish Council |
