PSALMS CLASS: Pat Griffith will offer a class on the Psalms,
discussing their Types, Historical relevancy, Structure and Purpose.
The objective is to enrich understanding of the Psalms in both formal
settings, e.g. Mass, and for personal reading and meditation.
The class will survey Psalms of David, Psalms outside the Book of
Psalms and Psalms relating to the Messianic History of Israel. The
class will be offered twice, from 9:30 to noon on Saturday, May 13th,
and Tuesday, May 16th. Reference materials will be provided.

On World Prayer Day, the St. Philip & St. Teresa's Catholic Community is invited to the Stations of the Cross followed by a Lenten soup supper at St. Philip's, 3730 Bohemian Hwy, Occidental, CA 95465. This event is hosted by the St. Philip & St. Teresa's Ladies Guilds.

This hand crocheted afghan was made by Mary Jo Clark, sister of Lisa Dummer a parishioner and attendee at 8am mass. It is made of acrylic yarn, is machine washable and machine dry normal heat. Approximate size is 5 1/2 x 6 feet. It will look beautiful on your double bed.
The item was gifted to St Philip to be used as an auction item in appreciation for the support provided to Maryjo and Lisa by our parish community as Lisa was dying.
CELEBRATE IN THE GARDEN
Following two successful and enjoyable events in 2015 and 2016, this will be the last time that CELEBRATE in the Garden will be offered at CELEBRATE 2017.
On Saturday, August 12, under magnificent redwoods and oak trees in a magical garden enjoy a variety of home-cooked foods prepared by your hosts Frederick Kasl and Rod DeMartini. they will be joined by Occidental Road Cellars, Spring Hill Farms and local caterer and parishioner Diane Albracht who will compliment the menu with final local wines, cheeses and dessert. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy a magical and magnificent evening.

The priests of our Diocese will be on retreat this week, October 18th, 19th and 20th, so we will not have daily masses on those days.

The Guidelines are as follows:
Plan to arrive and begin to setup your chef station in Parish Hall at 5pm
Be prepared to serve at least 25 1/2 cup servings or more of sauce. A 4 quart crock pot would be advised
Bring your own ladle/serving implements and crock pot
Sauce should be warm upon arrival
Power will be provided to your station
Please arrive for setup at 6pm
Set your baked goods up for individual servings
Bring serving implements
Plates and silverware will be provided
The no host bar will open at 6 pm
Food will be begin being served at 6:30 pm
